In the first repeat concept of this project, here's another in-camera double exposure. It's interesting to me that after so much experimentation the first time around, this one worked pretty much like I was expecting it to right off the bat. It's also one of the few images I've made with some kind of conscious theme behind it, which I normally find pretentious, but in this case I thought it flowed remarkably well with what drew me over to take photos in the first place. I was out exploring a new park with Emily yesterday, and we had turned around to start walking back across the otherwise fairly drab parklands, when this very colorful bush (small tree?) was visible from quite a long way off, being the only real natural color anywhere in sight. Right behind it was a very large, dead, grey tree, and the juxtaposition of those two right next to each other, of all places they could be in the vast park. So I wanted some kind of image that drew out that contrast, but a forced perspective wasn't really working with such a massive size difference and so little room to maneuver. Then it occurred to me to try a double exposure, which gave me exactly what I was looking for, and here we are.
