This image comes from the top of a large hill overlooking both the site of the my church's weekend away and, from it's top, this glimmer of far-off water. I like how it gives the perspective of a small oasis surrounded by bushland, even though I'm sure it was some kind of bay or river rather than a lake. I also liked that it's something you had to work to spot if you were there in person, and how within the image you still have that element of the vegetation that had to be narrowly navigated, lest it block the view for those who didn't have binoculars or telephoto lenses. Something about having to work for the view and all that. In the end, I'd say it made the difficult-while-carrying-equipment trek worthwhile.
