I went to the Sydney Zoo for the first time on Monday with Emily, it was a good trip. It made for kind of a difficult time picking which image to roll with for the project this week, but that's a good problem to have, especially after issues with not having enough to chose from in previous weeks. In the end, the combination of color and lighting in this one was too hard to beat. It was shot through glass, as you might imagine considering the subject, but I was pleasantly surprised how little that seemed to affect the image quality, at least when it came to land-dwelling species. Having a longer lens certainly helped with that too, and while there were times I wished I had an even longer focal length available, it did the job fine.
