For anyone not a local, this is a view of the Parramatta River looking towards Riverside Theatre in downtown Parramatta. I had originally been looking for some lights set up along the river that I had noticed when I was last in that part of town, but they must have been temporary because when I shot this they were nowhere to be found.

Coincidentally tying the underlying concepts of the last couple of posts together, the shot features both a series of the same image at different exposures composited together (in other words, high dynamic range) and a traditional long exposure in each component image. Finding a method to blend it all together while still ending up with a natural looking result has always been a challenge for me, but it seems Lightroom can do a decent job getting things most of the way there.

(Regularly scheduled updates should resume as of Monday)
