Things are getting abstract around here. Mostly because I'm running out of normal things to shoot. But I had been trying to find some way to utilize this particular knick knack in an image for quite a while, so it's nice to finally pull that off. I suppose I should come up with some sort of meaning for it, but honestly the only thing I was thinking about while shooting it was the parallel between the gridwork around the lantern and the gridwork casting the shadows. There's a certain surrealistic element to that. I never studied art history though, so anyone who has, feel free to have a crack at interpretation.
